Hey again!
Yet another quick entry because we have free internet at the 'Plymouth Sands Motel'. We also got a second floor sea view (not free!), with the beach and sea no more than 20 feet away. Amazing views, although unfortunately the whole of New England is trapped in low cloud/rain/sleet/fog. We're remaining cheery though!
Yesterday we picked up our really manly rental car (a light blue Chrysler PT Cruiser) and left Boston, driving down here to Plymouth.
This is where the Pilgrims landed in 1620. We wandered around the town yesterday, saw the famous rock (and that really is all it is - a rock) and had some more seafood (no Scrod though, Dad!).
We're now going to the 'Plimoth Plantation', a living museum of a Pilgrim settlement and the Mayflower II, a recreation of the ship that bought them here.
Later on we're planning on driving further out along Cape Cod.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying better weather than us!
Lastly, Eve - There was a brief break in the Freedom Trail for shopping - it's all about the balance!
